If you need to get in touch with 1st Shifnal Scout Group, we’re always happy to help. Whether you have a question about joining, need to report an absence, or want to speak to a section leader, you’ll find the right contact details below.

General Enquiries

For anything relating to the group as a whole - including joining enquiries, volunteering, or questions that aren’t specific to a section - please contact our Group Lead Volunteer:

Section Contacts

If your query relates to your child’s section, please contact the relevant team directly. Leaders are volunteers, so they may not be able to reply immediately, but they will get back to you as soon as they can.

WhatsApp Groups

Each section runs its own parent WhatsApp group, which we highly encourage all parents and carers to join. These groups provide:

• Instant updates and reminders

• Quick communication if plans change

• A simple way to report absences

• A friendly space to connect with other parents

Details on how to join your section’s WhatsApp group are provided when your young person starts, or you can ask your section leader at any time.

Absences

If your child can’t attend a session, please let the section leaders know as early as possible - ideally via your section’s WhatsApp group or email.

Urgent Contact During a Session

If you need to reach us urgently while a session is running, please use your section’s email address or WhatsApp group. Leaders check messages at the start and end of meetings.
